Music Leadership Summit 2021

October 11 – 15

Akoesticum Ede, The Netherlands

pre-summit sessions in September

Drawing on 20 years of experience in conflict regions around the world, Musicians Without Borders has developed an approach to using the power of music in communities experiencing the impact of war, poverty and displacement.

The Music Leadership Summit is an expanded training course, combining training and expertise-sharing by Musicians Without Borders and our partners.

This year’s focus:

Innovative Approaches Responding to the Needs of Displaced People

In collaboration with our project partners from Jordan and Bosnia-Herzegovina, this year’s summit is focused on using music to build connection and solidarity in the context of a world with a growing population on the move.

We’re saving you a seat at the Summit!

Registration open until September 1

Who is this summit for?

We want to increase the impact of music professionals in facilitation and advocacy work with displaced people. The summit predominantly focuses on training practical skills in musical leadership that participants can apply to their own professional context.

If you recognize yourself in the following, this summit is for you:

  • You’ve had academic-level music training, or an equivalent of informal training;
  • You have experience leading music activities;
  • You currently work with or want to work with displaced people or in an allied field;
  • You’re interested in using music for social change at the grassroots level.
